Russia restricts cash exports to seven neighboring countries — The Moscow Times
In the Russian Federation, an aggressor state, President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday signed a decree tightening restrictions on taking cash out to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. This was reported by The Moscow Times.
Limit for individuals
Individuals were prohibited from taking more than 1 million rubles in cash to these countries, which amounts to about $11,900. Previously, they were allowed to move an amount in rubles equivalent to $100,000 under a decree Putin signed in March.
Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are members of the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union.

Restrictions for businesses
According to The Moscow Times, citing the Kommersant newspaper, businesses were prohibited from taking any amounts of cash out of Russia. Individuals who violate the limit face confiscation of the amount exceeding 1 million rubles. Companies that attempt to take out funds must surrender the entire amount of cash.
Exceptions are provided for passengers traveling through international airports designated by the authorities, official diplomatic missions, and persons who provide bank confirmation of authorization. The new rules took effect immediately. In March 2022, Russia also prohibited individuals from taking more than $10,000 in foreign currency out of the country after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
