A Russian spotted a Ukrainian influence in the athlete's jump rope routine
In the Russian city of Magnitogorsk, a group of activists who were exercising outdoors were accused of supporting Ukraine simply for jumping rope.
Local residents showed excessive vigilance, seeing political undertones and hidden slogans in a routine workout.
A sports blogger and coach released a video recording capturing an absurd argument with a random passerby.
During a group workout, a man approached the group of young people and began to complain about their activities.
The aggressive Russian addressed those present with a direct question: “Are you jumping for Ukraine?”
This reaction was triggered by the very fact of synchronized jumping, which, in the man’s opinion, is a manifestation of hostile ideology.
The passerby explained his logic by referring to the events of Ukraine’s Maidan. He backed up his suspicions with the well-known slogan: “Whoever doesn’t jump is a Muscovite,” stating that any jumping in today’s reality looks suspicious.
