U.S. intelligence is assessing Iran's reaction to a possible declaration by Trump that he has won the war
U.S. intelligence agencies have begun analyzing possible scenarios for Iran’s response to a potential announcement by President Donald Trump declaring a unilateral victory and the end of the conflict. The purpose of the assessment is to predict the consequences of the U.S. withdrawal from the active phase of hostilities amid preparations for the midterm congressional elections.

According to analysts, a rapid de-escalation could reduce domestic political pressure on the White House, but carries the risk of a resumption of Iran’s nuclear and missile programs. Preliminary intelligence assessments indicate that if the U.S. troop contingent is reduced, Tehran will perceive the U.S. declaration of victory as its own strategic success. If, however, a significant military presence is maintained, the Iranian leadership will view this merely as a tactical move by Washington in the negotiation process.
The presidential administration is formally keeping various options on the table, including the possible resumption of airstrikes against Iran’s military and political leadership. At the same time, a large-scale ground invasion of the country’s mainland is currently considered unlikely. This is because during the ceasefire, Iran managed to partially restore its defensive capabilities, which would make potential losses for the U.S. military more significant. While U.S. intelligence is monitoring the enemy’s troop redeployment, Ukraine continues to systematically destroy energy infrastructure on Russian territory using the latest drones.
