Rubio announced progress in the negotiations between the U.S. and Iran
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that negotiations with Iran and Oman regarding shipping through the Strait of Hormuz are progressing, but a final agreement has not yet been reached.
According to him, the parties are working on two possible agreements. The first concerns the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, and the second involves broader arrangements regarding Iran’s nuclear program.
Rubio emphasized that the United States’ primary goal remains preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. At the same time, Tehran denies holding direct talks with Washington and states that it is discussing only shipping issues through Oman.
