Romanian intelligence agencies provided cybersecurity protection for Moldova during the parliamentary elections, helping to counter potential attacks.

Romanian President Nicușor Dan stated that the assistance was “crucial,” but it pertained exclusively to the cyber domain and did not affect the electoral process itself.
According to him, through the National Cyber Security Agency, Romania helped protect the electoral infrastructure and government systems, including ensuring secure voting for the diaspora.
Before the election, experts warned of large-scale attempts by Russia to interfere in the process through online manipulation.
In the Moldovan elections, the pro-European party “Action and Solidarity” won, securing over 50% of the vote.
