Ryanair will not wait for passengers who are late for boarding due to lines at airports
Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary stated that flights will not be delayed due to passengers who fail to clear security and reach the boarding gate in time because of long lines at airports.
According to O’Leary, passengers are responsible for arriving at the airport on time. He emphasized that the airline does not plan to wait for travelers who have not completed all necessary procedures before boarding.
“We will not wait for anyone. Our priority is those passengers who are at the boarding gate when boarding begins. If you are not at the boarding gate when we finish boarding, the plane will depart without you,” said the Ryanair CEO.
At the same time, passengers at some airports have recently been forced to wait in line for hours due to the implementation of new screening and security systems.
O’Leary advised travelers to arrive at airports early to avoid the risk of missing their flight. He also noted that the responsibility for passing through security and arriving at the boarding gate on time lies with the passengers.
He made these remarks in an interview quoted by Sky News.
