Saudi Arabia condemns incursion into Al-Aqsa — Asharq Al-Awsat
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the incursion by an Israeli official and a group of settlers into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Palestinian territory. According to Asharq Al-Awsat, the Saudi ministry said they were there under the protection of Israeli forces.
Statement by the Saudi Foreign Ministry
The ministry described the incident as a flagrant violation and a provocation to Muslims around the world. Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry also said it categorically rejects provocative practices, illegal actions, incitement, and violence that, it said, Israeli officials commit against Palestinians and holy sites in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Call to the international community
The ministry called on the international community to fulfil its duty and stop such actions. The Saudi Foreign Ministry’s statement says that these actions violate international law and international humanitarian law.
