Afghanistan says Pakistan carried out airstrikes in Kunar and Paktika — Anadolu Agency
Authorities in Afghanistan said that Pakistan carried out airstrikes on the eastern provinces of Kunar and Paktika. According to Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson for the Afghan government, at least three people were killed in the strike in Kunar, while several others were injured.
Strike in the Nurgal district
As reported by Anadolu Agency, Fitrat wrote on the social media platform X that the airstrike took place at around 3 a.m. local time in the Nurgal district of Kunar province. According to him, three people were killed there and several others were injured.

Statements by the sides
Fitrat also said that at least two airstrikes were carried out on the Barmal district in Paktika province. According to him, no casualties were reported in that area.
Islamabad did not immediately respond to Kabul's accusations. The report emerged amid a new wave of militant attacks, including suicide bombings in northwestern Pakistan, which have killed dozens of security personnel and civilians in recent days. Pakistan accuses the Afghan authorities of supporting militants involved in attacks on its territory, while Afghanistan rejects these accusations.
