Saudi Arabia destroys two Houthi drones headed for Riyadh — Anadolu Agency

In Saudi Arabia, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed two drones launched by Yemen’s Houthis toward the Riyadh region early Saturday. This was reported by Anadolu Agency.

Coalition statement

Turki al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, said Saudi forces are tracking missile and drone threats directed against the kingdom.

According to him, both drones heading toward the Riyadh region were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems.

Situation in Yemen

As the agency notes, the Houthis are conducting renewed hostilities against Yemen’s government forces, which are supported by Saudi Arabia.
