Sheinbaum says national pride is growing in Mexico
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said that the share of people who are proud to be Mexican has risen from 58% in 1990 to 90% today. At a morning press conference on Monday, she cited a poll by the El Financiero newspaper and linked this trend to the work of governments of the Fourth Transformation movement.

State-by-state accountability tour
Sheinbaum also spoke about a nationwide accountability tour, during which she holds gatherings called “honesty and results.” According to her data, more than 300,000 people attended 18 events held in 18 states. The president called the experience very moving.

At such meetings, she speaks about Mexico's history, the patriotic month, and the importance of defending independence and sovereignty. Overall, the president plans to make appearances in 31 states: after events in 18 states, she is to visit another 13 and conclude the tour with a speech at the Zócalo square in Mexico City on September 27.

During the press conference, Sheinbaum also said that a significant part of the Mexican media operates as propaganda platforms for the political right. She claimed that important events in the country do not receive coverage and that commentators allegedly coordinate criticism of her government in a group chat.
