Israeli police seize weapons and explosives in Arab communities
Israeli police seized weapons, ammunition and explosives during an operation aimed at reducing violent crime in Arab communities. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post, citing a police statement. Law enforcement officers said that some of the seized weapons and ammunition were likely stolen from the Israel Defense Forces.
Explosives in Tayibe
In the city of Tayibe, police found 6.5 kg of explosive material, as well as materials needed for its remote detonation. In Kafr Qasim, law enforcement officers conducted raids at four different locations. There, they found two Glock 19 pistols, a loaded 9 mm magazine and several rifle magazines.

Detentions in the MATADOR case
Four suspects were detained during the operation. Separately, police reported that last week in Shefa-Amr, two people were detained on suspicion of stealing a shoulder-fired MATADOR missile from the Israel Defense Forces. According to police, the theft may have occurred during operations in northern Israel. One of the suspects, according to law enforcement officials, is illegally present in the country. Both were taken to the Galilee regional police station for questioning; police expect to bring them before a court to request an extension of their detention.
