Rising oil prices

As Dawn reports, the head of government's office said that Sharif responded immediately to the recent tensions in the Middle East. According to the office's assessment, these tensions led to an increase in global oil prices, increasing the burden on the population.

Prime Minister's statement

Sharif said that the government understands the burden associated with higher fuel prices and will not leave citizens without support. In the office's statement, the programme was described as a special assistance scheme. No other terms of the programme were specified in the statement.
