SDF shell village near Deir ez-Zor, residential areas hit
Syrian Democratic Forces have shelled residential neighbourhoods in the village of al-Taybeh, located in the al-Mayadin area east of Deir ez-Zor, according to reporters on the ground.
The strikes reportedly targeted civilian areas and were carried out using missiles, causing damage to homes and spreading fear among local residents. People in the village described scenes of panic as explosions hit populated zones.
There is no confirmed information yet on casualties, but local sources say families are attempting to flee the area amid fears of further attacks.
Tensions remain high in eastern Syria as clashes continue between government forces and Kurdish-led units, with control over key towns and infrastructure remaining a central point of confrontation.
