Biden's son ironically nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize over his statements on Iran

Hunter Biden, the son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, publicly mocked President Donald Trump, claiming that he was nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize because of his numerous statements about ending the conflict with Iran.

In his post, Hunter Biden wrote: “I am officially nominating Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. No president in history has ended the same war so many times.”

This was his sarcastic response to Trump’s repeated claims about ending the war with Iran.

According to Biden Jr., the U.S. president has allegedly “ended the war with Iran at least 38 times”—the exact number of such statements, he said, that CNN journalists had previously tallied.

“No president has ever done this before. And he’s far from done. It’s a record worthy of recognition by the Nobel Committee,” Hunter Biden joked.

At the end of the post, he used one of Donald Trump’s most famous phrases: “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that he considers himself worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize. He has previously raised the topic of possibly being awarded this prize.

Among the U.S. presidents who received the Nobel Peace Prize while in office are Woodrow Wilson and Barack Obama.

He posted the message on social media platform X.

Last Sunday, the U.S. and Iran agreed to resume peace talks following a new escalation of tensions. This also contributed to the restoration of safer shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

At the same time, Washington does not rule out further escalation. U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that the United States is prepared to take new military action if Iran resumes its nuclear program or begins attacking commercial vessels again.

Iranian authorities have declared that all oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz must travel only along routes approved by Tehran. Vessels that violate this requirement have been threatened with a “decisive response.”

Iran has set new conditions for the U.S. to continue negotiations, according to Reuters.

As a reminder, on June 26, global oil prices fell by about 2% due to an increase in the number of tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz

Exports of mineral fertilizers through the Strait of Hormuz have shown rapid growth, bringing supply volumes to the global market back to levels recorded before the military escalation began.
