Video: Kadyrov's son shows how he breaks traffic laws while driving

Adam Kadyrov, the son of the head of Chechnya, posted a short video showing him driving a Range Rover. The 13-second clip appeared on one of the Instagram accounts linked to Kadyrov Jr.

In the first-person video, Adam Kadyrov shows the road and then himself and a passenger inside the car. At the same time, social media users pointed out a number of possible traffic violations captured in the footage.

In particular, the footage shows Kadyrov using a cell phone while driving. The car also crosses a double solid line and veers into oncoming traffic.

Furthermore, toward the end of the video, the car’s speed—judging by the dashboard display—reaches 112 km/h within a built-up area where the speed limit is 50 km/h.

Users also noted that neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a seatbelt.

Under Russian law, crossing a double solid line is considered a serious traffic violation and can result in the revocation of a driver’s license. Significant speeding also carries serious consequences, including possible revocation of the right to drive. Using a cell phone while driving is punishable by a fine.

The video sparked lively discussion on social media, where users pointed out the Chechen leader’s son’s blatant disregard for traffic rules.

Earlier, 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov was awarded the title of Hero of the Chechen Republic for the second time. The award was presented to him by his father, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Chechen authorities stated that they honored Adam Kadyrov for his support of the Russian war and his “services to the state.” This is the second time the son of the republic’s head has received this title—he was first awarded it in 2023, when he was 15 years old.
