Trump's son helped secure the conviction of a Russian man in the UK for assaulting a woman
A British court sentenced 22-year-old Russian Matvey Rumyantsev to prison following an assault on a woman, which was reported by U.S. President Donald Trump’s son, Barron Trump.
According to the investigation, Barron Trump witnessed the attack during a video call and contacted British police, which allowed for the suspect’s prompt arrest.
The judge emphasized that he acted responsibly and helped call emergency services while abroad.
Rumyantsev was found guilty of assault and obstruction of justice, but was acquitted of charges of rape and intentional strangulation.
The court sentenced him to two years in prison for each of the crimes, to be served consecutively.
