The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the arrest of teenagers in connection with the car bombing in Konkovo

In Moscow, investigators announced the arrest of two teenagers suspected of involvement in a car bombing in the Konkovo district. According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the explosive device was planted in advance and passed through several intermediaries, and the car itself belonged to an employee of a research and production enterprise. The incident occurred on June 9 and, according to official reports, resulted in no casualties, but has already led to criminal proceedings under serious charges.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation stated that the car explosion in the Konkovo district of Moscow on June 9 was the result of premeditated actions and may have involved a complex scheme for passing the explosive device through several individuals. According to the investigation, two teenagers are involved in the case; they have already been detained and formally charged.

The agency claims that the explosive device was in a hiding place, after which it was taken by a girl acting on the instructions of so-called “curators.” Further, as noted by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, she passed it on to another teenager, who placed the explosive directly under the car and additionally installed a GPS tracker to monitor the vehicle. “A criminal case has been opened under articles regarding attempted murder, as well as the illegal manufacture and storage of explosive substances,” the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation stated.

The Zeekr car, which was parked at the intersection of Vvedenskogo and Butlerova streets, exploded on June 9. According to official data, no one was inside the vehicle, so there were no casualties as a result of the incident. On the same day, investigators reported that the explosion was controlled, as a suspicious object was discovered under the car during an inspection and was neutralized by detonation.

At the same time, Russian media and some investigative outlets drew attention to the car’s possible owner. According to the “Agency,” this may be an employee of the technology park at the M. F. Stelmakh “Polyus” Research Institute, which is located near the site of the explosion. This technology park, as noted, is part of the Rostec structure.

Against the backdrop of the events in Moscow, another car explosion is also being mentioned, which occurred the day before in Balashikha, near Moscow. There, a BMW X3 exploded just as the driver got into the car and began to drive. The driver died at the scene.

The victim’s name has not been officially released, but information is circulating on Telegram channels that he may have been Damir Davydov, head of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense. There is currently no confirmation of this information from official sources.

Two similar incidents involving car explosions in different regions, involving owners of varying degrees of public prominence, have already caused a significant stir in the Russian media landscape. Official investigative authorities are continuing their investigation, but many details of the case remain classified or are being presented only as preliminary versions.

The investigation is ongoing, and key questions—the motives, the organizers, and the full chain of events—remain unanswered for now.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, fuel shortages could escalate into a much more serious crisis. Due to logistical difficulties on the peninsula, prices have already begun to rise, lines are forming, and residents are actively stocking up on essential goods.

The shortage of automotive fuel, previously observed in the temporarily occupied Crimea, has begun to spread to the southern regions of the Russian Federation. Residents of the Krasnodar Krai and the Rostov Oblast are reporting shortages of gasoline and diesel fuel.
