The controversial Kanye West is set to perform in Russia
Controversial American rapper Kanye West, who has previously expressed sympathy for Russia on multiple occasions and called himself the “young Putin,” may hold two concerts in St. Petersburg.
According to Russian media reports, the performances are reportedly scheduled for October 10 and 11. However, the artist himself has not yet officially announced the concerts in Russia.
Last year, West had already planned to visit Russia. The rapper personally inspected the concert venues and, according to media reports, asked for $5 million for the performance. However, the concert, scheduled for early September, was ultimately canceled after the artist failed to respond to the organizers’ inquiries.
West is also known for his numerous controversial statements and public antics. He has previously expressed his love for Russia and spoken positively about Vladimir Putin.
American rapper Kanye West has stated that he rejects any accusations of Nazism and anti-Semitism.
