Slovakia will extradite to the Czech Republic an American woman suspected of setting fire to an arms factory

On April 16, Slovak authorities will hand over to Czech law enforcement a U.S. citizen accused of involvement in a sabotage incident at the LPP Holding facility in Pardubice.

This was reported by the Czech television channel CT24. The American woman, who was detained in Slovakia, has consented to extradition, and as early as today, the district court in Pardubice may consider the issue of her detention.

The investigation into the fire at the strategic facility has taken on an international scope: in addition to the American woman, five suspects have been detained in the Czech Republic, three in Poland, and one in Bulgaria. Prague classifies the detainees’ actions as a terrorist attack and participation in a terrorist group, for which the suspects face up to twenty years in prison. The fire at the plant occurred on March 20, after which the group “Earthquake Faction,” which opposes military cooperation with Israel, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Law enforcement is also investigating a possible link between the detainees and Russian intelligence agencies, as the methods of the attack align with recent attempts by Russia to destabilize Europe’s defense industry. Strengthening security at military facilities has become a priority for Czech authorities amid a rise in sabotage incidents in the region. Evidence is currently being gathered to confirm the coordination of actions among all members of the international network of arsonists.

Earlier, five people were arrested in the Czech Republic in connection with the arson attack on the LPP Holding plant in Pardubice, where drones are manufactured for Ukraine. The incident occurred on March 20, and the Earthquake Faction, a group protesting the plant’s cooperation with Israel, claimed responsibility.

Czech investigators have filed charges against another suspect in connection with the arson attack on the LPP Holding facility in Pardubice
