Slovakia has resumed receiving Russian oil via the Druzhba pipeline. This became possible after the Ukrainian section of the pipeline resumed operations on April 22.
This was reported by Slovak Economy Minister Denisa Saková.
According to her, oil began flowing on Thursday at 2 a.m.
"Currently, oil is being received in accordance with the agreed plan," Saková noted on her social media accounts.
According toAktuality, preliminary information indicates that the Ukrainian side was to provide this plan to the Slovak oil transporter "Transpetrol" on Wednesday, April 22.
As a reminder, Ukrainehas resumed oil transit via the Druzhba pipeline.
Earlier, European Council President António Costa publicly thanked Volodymyr Zelenskyy for restoring the section of the Druzhba pipeline. Ukraine announced the completion of repair work following damage to the infrastructure caused by a Russian strike. The EU described this as the fulfillment of agreements.
The European Commission expects that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will soon officially announce the resumption of oil pumping through Ukraine via the Druzhba pipeline.
