Slovenia will allocate $50 million for U.S. weapons for Ukraine and will fund three shelters
Slovenia will allocate an additional 50 million U.S. dollars to the PURL initiative and will help fund the construction of three civil protection facilities in Ukraine. This was announced by Slovenian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tone Kaiser at a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga expressed gratitude to the Slovenian side for its solidarity and emphasized that such assistance strengthens the country’s resilience. Kaiser also underscored the need to ensure long-term support for Ukraine and the importance of international dialogue based on the principles of the UN Charter.
Tone Kaiser announced the decision on the social media platform X.
Norway will allocate approximately $306 million to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense system. In addition to financial aid, the country will participate in the development of a joint missile defense system designed to enhance the protection of Ukrainian airspace against Russian attacks.
As a reminder, Russian forces struck Odesa—there are casualties, and infrastructure has been damaged.
The strike on Odesa was carried out with a missile equipped with a cluster warhead.
