Hundreds of thousands of people have paid a deposit for Trump's smartphone, but haven't received it yet
About half a million people who pre-ordered the Trump Mobile T1 smartphone have still not received their devices, and the company has effectively given no guarantee that it will be released.
This is reported by TechRadar.
The new pre-order terms state that the $100 deposit does not constitute a purchase and does not guarantee that the smartphone will go on sale. Trump Mobile has also reserved the right to cancel the device’s launch altogether.
The Trump Mobile T1 was unveiled in the summer of 2025 as a “patriotic” alternative to Apple and Samsung smartphones. The $499 device was marketed as a premium gold-colored smartphone, supposedly designed and manufactured in the U.S.
The device’s release was postponed several times—initially, the launch was promised for August 2025, then for early 2026. However, as of May 2026, not a single confirmed buyer has received the smartphone.
According to media estimates, approximately 600,000 people may have made prepayments totaling roughly $59 million. Journalists also speculate that the device could be a rebranded version of a Chinese smartphone.
The Trump Organization plans to build a multifunctional tower in the Georgian capital, which is set to become the city’s tallest building.
U.S. President Donald Trump, through his company, has updated the official Trump Mobile website, revealing the final design of the T1 Phone.
