The U.S. has provided Estonia with 13 reconnaissance drones
The United States has provided Estonia with 13 small Skydio X10D reconnaissance drones to strengthen national border security.
The agreement was signed in Tallinn by Roman Pipko, the U.S. Ambassador to Estonia, and Veiko Kommusaar, Deputy Director General of the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board.
The drones are equipped with daytime and thermal imaging cameras, allowing border guards to monitor hard-to-reach areas both day and night. If necessary, the drones can be quickly deployed without complex training.
The transfer was funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection implemented the program.
