The U.S. and Iran have not yet reached a final agreement: Israel is reviewing the draft agreement

The United States and Iran have agreed at the negotiators' level on a draft memorandum to extend the ceasefire for another 60 days, but the parties have not yet reached a final decision.

This was reported by Reuters.

According to the agency, the document still needs to be approved by U.S. President Donald Trump and Iranian leadership. The preliminary draft provides for the extension of the ceasefire and the launch of a new phase of negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

Among the points under discussion are the restoration of freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, the clearance of mines in the waterway, and Iran’s refusal to collect fees from ships passing through this route.

According to The Guardian, the draft agreement has also been shared with U.S. allies, including Israel, for review and feedback. The document may include a partial easing of sanctions against Iran, access to some frozen assets, and a gradual relaxation of maritime restrictions.

At the same time, Washington continues to pressure Tehran. The U.S. State Department and Treasury Department announced new sanctions against companies, individuals, and vessels linked to Iran’s oil industry.

Highly enriched uranium reserves remain one of the main topics of future negotiations. According to Reuters, the parties are discussing the possibility of transferring part of these reserves to third-party control, but no final agreements have been reached yet.

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that Washington and Tehran are very close to reaching an agreement, but there is currently no final approval from Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Israel is reviewing the draft agreement and expressing concern about Iran’s potential concessions, particularly regarding sanctions and the nuclear program.

Earlier, Iran and the U.S. exchangedaccusations following new strikes.

The day before, U.S. President Donald Trump announced significant progress in negotiations with Tehran, noting that as part of a potential agreement, Iran could transfer its highly enriched uranium to the United States.

Iran’s Supreme Leader has bannedthe transfer of enriched uranium.
