The U.S. has imposed new sanctions on companies that have cooperated with Iran
The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced a new round of sanctions against companies and individuals that aided the operations of the Iranian airline Mahan Air. Among those subject to the restrictions is the Russian company Air Cargo Pro Limited.
The new U.S. sanctions list includes six entities and individuals from China, India, Russia, and Iran.
Among them are:
- the Chinese company Shanghai Wings International Logistics Co and its director, Tang Xin;
- the Indian company Skiez Travels and Logistics Private Limited;
- the Russian company Air Cargo Pro Limited.
According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, these companies acted as general sales agents for the Iranian airline Mahan Air, which is already subject to U.S. and European Union sanctions.
Officials in Washington emphasize that although Mahan Air officially operates as a civilian airline, the company plays an important role in supporting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the airline facilitated:
- the transport of personnel from the “Quds” special forces unit;
- military training;
- the procurement and transport of drones, weapons, and other military equipment.
In addition to logistics companies, the U.S. has imposed sanctions on the startup studio DadeNegar, which is described as a front company linked to the IRGC.
According to U.S. officials, the company used websites to gather information on the locations of U.S. and Israeli military equipment and coordinated activities with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, receiving requests regarding potential strikes against U.S. targets in the Middle East.

As a reminder, U.S. President Donald Trump has so far been unable to persuade Iran to return to negotiations or to achieve an outcome that would allow the conflict to be resolved on terms favorable to Washington. Against this backdrop, CNN outlined a possible scenario for de-escalation.
China has denied reports that it is allegedly preparing to transfer hundreds of man-portable air defense systems to Iran. Beijing stated that reports of a possible arms shipment are false and that China allegedly seeks only to facilitate the resolution of conflicts.
On the night of July 29, Iran launched a missile strike on one of the U.S. military bases in the Middle East. This was the first attack since the parties announced last week that they would cease mutual strikes.
