The U.S. carried out another series of strikes against Iran and disclosed the targets
U.S. Central Command reported that it had carried out the eleventh round of strikes against Iran. The command stated that the operation targeted specific military facilities.
According to CENTCOM, U.S. forces struck Iranian military operations centers, naval facilities, aircraft hangars, drone depots, and military logistics infrastructure.
They emphasized that the goal of the strikes was to further weaken Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
“Over the past three months, Iran has attacked more than 30 commercial vessels passing through this international waterway, which is vital to regional and global trade. These unprovoked attacks have endangered hundreds of innocent seafarers and undermined freedom of navigation,” the U.S. stated.
CENTCOM emphasized that despite Iranian aggression, the Strait of Hormuz remains open to commercial shipping.
“Since early May, CENTCOM forces have facilitated the passage of approximately 900 commercial vessels and 450 million barrels of crude oil,” the statement added.
As a reminder, U.S. President Donald Trump vowed a harsh response to Iran over the deaths of American service members. “Every time Iran kills an American soldier, it will pay for it many times over,” he emphasized.
