The U.S. will increase production of PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems
L3Harris Technologies has signed an agreement with the Pentagon and Lockheed Martin to modernize PAC-3 missiles and significantly ramp up their production.
Under the terms of the agreement, L3Harris will nearly triple its production of engines for PAC-3 missiles. The contract is expected to be finalized by the end of the year.
The seven-year program calls for the production of advanced PAC-3 MSE dual-pulse solid-fuel engines, flight control systems, and lethality enhancers that increase the missiles’ range.
The company noted that the project is being implemented in response to a request from the U.S. Department of Defense to accelerate the production of critical munitions. To this end, L3Harris is investing billions of dollars in expanding production capacity and constructing approximately 60 new facilities.

American blogger Laura Loomer, who is considered close to U.S. President Donald Trump, called on Washington to provide Ukraine with more missiles for the Patriot systems. According to her, after spending several days in Ukraine, she saw the consequences of Russian strikes with her own eyes and became convinced that these systems save the lives of civilians.
Ukraine is negotiating with the United States to expedite the delivery of missiles for the Patriot systems, as well as to establish joint production of air defense systems.
