The SSO took control of the air route to Crimea
The Ukrainian Special Operations Forces announced that they have established air superiority over a section of the land route used by the occupiers to supply equipment and fuel to Crimea. According to military officials, this has already impacted the Russian army’s logistics in the south.
Drone operators from the 3rd Separate Special Operations Regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave announced that they have tightened control over a key logistics route used by the occupying forces, which connects Melitopol and Chongar and is used to supply equipment, ammunition, and fuel to Crimea.
According to Ukrainian military officials, their drones are systematically targeting enemy equipment and infrastructure in this area, which has already complicated supply operations and forced Russian units to reroute their movements. “This is just the beginning. More to come!” the Special Operations Forces noted, commenting on the unit’s results.
The Special Operations Forces emphasize that unmanned systems are playing an increasingly important role in modern warfare, as they allow for the rapid detection and destruction of targets at significant distances without deploying large ground forces.
The Melitopol–Chongar route is one of the key routes for the Russian army in the southern sector, and any disruptions to its operation directly affect the pace of resupply for units operating in the Crimea and southern Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes on oil infrastructure and military facilities in Russia, specifically in the Leningrad Oblast and Krasnodar Krai, where explosions, fires, and secondary detonations were reported. Command posts, warehouses, and areas where Russian troops were concentrated were also targeted.
Separately, strikes were reported on areas where Russian troops were concentrated near Pokrovsk, Rodynske, and Petropavlivka, as well as in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, where enemy units were stationed. The General Staff emphasizes that these actions are aimed at reducing the Russian Federation’s military capabilities, particularly its logistics, fuel supply, and command-and-control capabilities on the front lines. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Security Service of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the Ust-Labinsk oil depot in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, where a massive fire broke out following the explosions. Also, according to the SBU, military facilities in the Leningrad region and the Kronstadt area were hit.
