Ramzan Kadyrov's eldest son was awarded the title of Hero of Chechnya
Akhmat Kadyrov, the eldest son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, has been awarded the title of Hero of the Chechen Republic. This was announced by Chechen Prime Minister Magomed Daudov on his Telegram channel.
Daudov referred to Akhmat Kadyrov as his nephew, although they are not related by blood.
Akhmat Kadyrov, 20, serves as Chechnya’s Minister of Sports, oversees the republic’s education sector, and acts as Deputy Prime Minister.
In March 2026, he also received a commendation from Russian dictator Vladimir Putin “for his contributions to physical culture and sports and his many years of dedicated service.”
The title of Hero of the Chechen Republic is one of the highest regional honors. However, no specific achievements by Akhmat Kadyrov that led to this title have been publicly reported.

Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic, has demanded that military operations be launched against countries supplying weapons to Ukraine. He made a corresponding post on social media.
