A court in Grozny has designated the "Chechen Republic of Ichkeria" as a terrorist organization
A court in Grozny has officially designated the “Chechen Republic of Ichkeria” (CRI) as a terrorist organization and banned its activities within the Russian Federation. At the same time, the activities of 29 CRI branches in 14 European countries have been banned.
This was reported by the Public Relations Center of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).
The decision was made based on evidence gathered by the FSB and the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation. The FSB warns all those involved in the organization’s activities of criminal liability, including life imprisonment.
The Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (CRI) was founded in Chechnya in 1991. Since 2007, it has been led by Akhmed Zakayev, who resides in the United Kingdom and is wanted internationally. Since the start of Russia’s military operations in Ukraine, CRI members have been participating in combat operations on the side of Ukraine.
As a reminder, despite attempts to block enemy information resources in Russia, there was another massive service outage, particularly affecting state-run public services.
