A Moscow court has seized $61 million worth of assets belonging to the family of Shoigu's former deputy
The Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow has ruled to confiscate assets belonging to Ruslan Tsalikov, the former first deputy defense minister of the Russian Federation, and his family, totaling approximately $61 million.
This was reported by Russian media.
According to Russian media, the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office demanded the seizure of assets which, according to the investigation, were obtained through corruption. These include funds in bank accounts and real estate in the Moscow Region and North Ossetia.
The case also involved members of Tsalikov’s family and individuals associated with them, who, according to the lawsuit, may have owned luxury apartments and other property.
A Russian court upheld the sentence of a 70-year-old doctor for so-called “fake news” about the army.
Earlier, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow sentenced Ukrainian producer Oleksandr Rodnyansky in absentia to 8 years and 6 months in a penal colony for his anti-war publications.
The Basmanny District Court of Moscow also arrested Ukrainian TV presenter Masha Yefrosinina in absentia in a case involving war-related fake news.
