TikTok is launching an ad-free paid subscription for users in the UK.
The company announced this on its blog.
The new TikTok Ad-Free plan will be available to users aged 18 and older and will cost £3.99 per month. The rollout will take place gradually over the coming months.
The company noted that users who do not subscribe will still be able to use the platform as usual, viewing personalized ads.
TikTok emphasized that regardless of the access plan they choose, users will have access to the same features, creators, and content.
We also reported that well-known entrepreneur Durov was banned from TikTok. His account had 156,000 followers but is now inaccessible.
Investors may provide $10 billion as a fee for brokering the acquisition of TikTok’s U.S. division from the Chinese company ByteDance. This refers to a deal being discussed within the context of U.S. policy on the regulation of digital platforms.
