Trump announced a "new dawn" for Cuba and a change in U.S. policy

During a speech at a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix, U.S. President Donald Trump announced his intention to radically change policy toward Cuba and promised rapid changes for the country.

This was reported by CBS News.

The American leader assured that the United States is ready to provide the necessary assistance to resolve the Cuban issue.

“Renewal for Cuba will come very soon,” Trump emphasized.

He also noted the role of the Cuban diaspora in the U.S., calling Cuban Americans “wonderful people,” and added that there were representatives of this community in the audience who support his initiatives.

Statements about a “new dawn” for Cuba elicited an enthusiastic response from the audience—attendees at the event in Arizona welcomed the politician’s remarks.

Moscow stated that it would not cease its support for the communist regime in Cuba and intends to help the country overcome the fuel crisis, despite pressure from the U.S.

As a reminder, the United States and Venezuela’s interim government have agreed to restore diplomatic and consular relations between the two countries. The U.S. State Department called this decision an important step toward stabilizing the situation in Venezuela and improving bilateral relations.

Miguel Díaz-Canel declared the Cuban people’s determination to defend the country against possible military aggression by the U.S. and his personal readiness to sacrifice his life to preserve the regime.
