Trump Agrees with Xi Jinping Not to Supply Weapons to Iran — Fox
In an interview with Fox Business that aired on April 15, 2026, U.S. President Donald Trump revealed details of his diplomatic correspondence with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
The American leader personally appealed to Beijing to cease all military aid to Tehran amid the ongoing armed conflict in the region.
The appeal was prompted by numerous intelligence reports and media reports suggesting that China may be supplying weapons to the Iranian regime.
In particular, information emerged the day before regarding Iran’s acquisition of a Chinese spy satellite, which enabled it to more effectively attack U.S. military bases in the Middle East.
“I wrote to him, asking him not to do this. He replied to the letter I wrote because he had heard that China was supplying weapons to Iran. He wrote to me in a letter, noting that, by and large, he is not involved in this,” the U.S. president said during a conversation with journalist Maria Bartiromo.
