Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, is set to marry socialite Bettina Anderson this coming weekend on a small island in the Bahamas.
CNN reports this.
According to the network’s sources, the ceremony will be private—fewer than 50 guests have been invited, including only the couple’s closest relatives and friends.
US President Donald Trump is not expected to attend the wedding, although he previously told reporters that he would try to make it. At the same time, he noted that now is “not the right time” for him due to international issues, particularly the situation surrounding Iran.
One source reported that the president’s absence is also linked to the couple’s desire to hold as private an event as possible, without excessive media attention or heightened security measures.
For Trump Jr., this will be his second marriage. He was previously married to Vanessa Trump, whom he divorced in 2018 after 12 years of marriage.
