Trump ordered to open fire on ships in the Strait of Hormuz

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had issued a direct order to the U.S. Navy to open fire on vessels laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz. He posted this on his social media platform, Truth Social.

According to him, the military must act quickly and without hesitation if they detect such activities. This applies to any ships—even the smallest ones. “I have ordered the U.S. Navy to fire upon and destroy any vessels, even the smallest ones, that are laying mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. No hesitation,” Trump stated.

He also made a bold statement regarding the state of the Iranian navy. In his post, the U.S. president wrote: “After all, all of their warships—159 in total—are lying at the bottom of the sea.”

In addition, Trump reported that American minesweepers are already operating in the region. They are clearing mines from the strait, which is one of the key routes for global oil shipments. The president called on the military to intensify these efforts. “Continue these operations three times as intensely,” he added.

The Strait of Hormuz remains a strategically important area through which a significant portion of global energy shipments pass. Any escalation of the situation in this region immediately affects global markets and the safety of shipping.

The United States’ military campaign against Iran has been ongoing for nearly two months, and a critical deadline is approaching when Donald Trump and Congress must decide on further escalation.
