In Paris, police have identified the person responsible for the graffiti reading "Dagestan" and "Chechnya" on the Palais de Chaillot

In the French capital, law enforcement officials have reportedly identified the young man who has been leaving graffiti on the parapet of the Palais de Chaillot at the Trocadéro.

According to information circulating on social media, he is an 18-year-old native of Dagestan who moved to France several years ago.

It is reported that he made the first inscription last year, after which the spot became popular among tourists and social media users. Subsequently, other inscriptions with the names of regions appeared there.

Paris municipal services are trying to remove them, but according to the same reports, the author keeps repainting the graffiti.

It is noted that damaging municipal property in France is punishable by a fine and other possible sanctions, including the risk of deportation.

In France, seven Moldovan citizens were fined for graffiti in Paris related to the war in Ukraine. Images of coffins and inscriptions about French soldiers appeared on buildings.
