U.S. President Donald Trump posted an AI-generated image on Truth Social of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sitting surrounded by military personnel and talking on the phone.
In the image, Kim is depicted as asking Trump, “Hi, Donald, everything’s fine between us… right?”
The post came amid Trump’s statements about resuming contact with Pyongyang. The U.S. president said that Kim had responded to his offer to talk, and he described their relationship as very good.
At the same time, Trump ordered a reduction in the scale of joint U.S.-South Korea military exercises, calling them expensive and something that North Korea might perceive as a hostile signal.
Trump had previously met with Kim and relied on personal diplomacy, but the earlier talks did not lead to a halt in the development of North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs.
