Trump suggested Iran's involvement in the Flydubai incident

U.S. President Donald Trump suggested that Iran may have been involved in the incident aboard the Flydubai flight that was traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv on September 30. However, the U.S. president did not provide any evidence and emphasized that the situation is still under investigation. Earlier, Israeli authorities stated that the plane’s co-pilot, an Omani citizen, attacked the captain and, according to preliminary reports, attempted to crash the plane.

Donald Trump commented on the incident involving the Flydubai plane, which occurred on September 30 during a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Journalists asked the U.S. president whether Iran could be involved in what happened on board. “I would say that, based on what I’m hearing—yes. But we’re working on it right now,” Trump replied.

In other words, the U.S. president did not state that Iran’s involvement had been confirmed. He merely suggested such a connection and noted that the U.S. is working to clarify the circumstances. At the same time, Israeli sources reported that there are currently no signs that the attacker acted on the orders of Iran or any other organized group. According to the Israeli television channel Channel 12, investigators are currently considering the possibility that the attacker acted alone.

What Happened on Board

The incident occurred on Flydubai flight FZ1073. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 took off from Dubai on September 30 and was headed to Tel Aviv. An emergency situation arose on board during the flight. According to Israeli authorities and international media, one of the pilots attacked the captain and injured him. After that, the plane began to lose altitude rapidly.

The plane initially transmitted the emergency code 7700. A few minutes later, the code was changed to 7500. This signal is used to indicate unlawful interference with the aircraft, including a possible hijacking. According to flight tracking data, the plane lost nearly 14,000 feet in altitude in a short period of time. Afterward, the situation was stabilized.

The injured captain managed to open the cockpit door. Passengers and crew members entered the cockpit and helped subdue the attacker. Afterward, other pilots on board took control of the aircraft. The plane made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. All passengers survived. They were later transported to Israel on another plane.

Who was the attacker?

According to Israeli authorities, the attacker was a citizen of Oman who worked as the co-pilot. Israeli officials stated that he may have intentionally attempted to cause the plane to crash. Israel’s defense minister called the incident an attempted terrorist attack, though the exact circumstances and motive are still being determined.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also stated that it is too early to draw definitive conclusions about the attacker’s motive. According to him, the investigation must determine whether he acted alone or had accomplices. The possibility of a link to Iran is being examined separately. Meanwhile, Flydubai has urged people not to jump to conclusions. The airline stated that it is working with the relevant authorities and assisting in determining all the circumstances of the incident.

Following the incident, Flydubai temporarily suspended flights to and from Israel. The company explained this by the need to await the results of the investigation. Thus, the theory regarding Iran’s possible involvement remains just that—a theory. Trump has suggested such a connection, but no conclusive evidence is currently available to the public. The investigation, involving representatives from Saudi Arabia, Israel, the UAE, Oman, and the U.S., is ongoing. This was reported by Rapid Response 47 in Kharkiv.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he did not allow the Oval Office in the White House to be demolished. According to him, U.S. Secret Service officials had proposed tearing down the building and constructing a new one.
