Trump to undergo a medical exam: White House announces date of examination
U.S. President Donald Trump will undergo a routine medical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center near Washington. The examination is scheduled for May 26.

The White House stated that this involves “routine annual dental and medical examinations as part of regular preventive medical care.”
In the U.S., presidents traditionally release information about their health, but discussions about Trump’s physical condition have been a regular topic of debate recently.
In particular, the media has actively discussed photos of the U.S. president in which bruises were noticed on his hands. According to media reports, some of them were allegedly concealed with foundation.
Trump himself attributed the bruises to frequent handshakes. Meanwhile, the White House stated that this could be related to the use of blood-thinning medications.
The presidential administration had also previously reported that Trump has chronic venous insufficiency—a vein condition commonly found in older people.
Donald Trump will turn 80 in June. The issue of the age and health of American politicians remains one of the key topics of domestic political debate in the U.S., especially following the presidency of Joe Biden, who has been repeatedly criticized for his age and physical condition.
Recall that in April, the U.S. president underwent a medical examination and a cognitive test. At the time, Trump stated that he had answered all questions correctly and was “in very good shape.”
“I think I did well. I felt like I was in very good shape—heart’s good, mind’s good,” Trump told reporters.
The American leader also emphasized that he wanted to “stand out from Biden,” who, according to him, had not undergone similar cognitive tests. A full report on the results of Trump’s preliminary medical examination, as reported by the White House, was to be released on April 13.
