Trump will hold a series of talks with Middle Eastern leaders at the G7 summit in France
During the G7 summit in France, U.S. President Donald Trump will hold separate meetings with the leaders of France, Qatar, the UAE, Egypt, and India. One of the main topics of discussion will be the situation surrounding Iran and the impact of the energy crisis on the global economy.
According to the U.S. administration, Washington and Tehran are close to reaching an agreement on restoring safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. does not rule out that the document could be finalized in the coming days.
In addition to Middle East issues, Trump plans to discuss global security, international trade, energy, the development of artificial intelligence, and the resilience of global supply chains.
The G7 summit will take place on June 15–17 in Evian-les-Bains, France. It will be attended by the leaders of the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, and Japan, as well as representatives of the European Union. Key topics will also include Russia’s war against Ukraine and relations with China.
According to U.S. officials, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will participate in a joint working session of G7 leaders, but a separate bilateral meeting with Trump is not currently planned.
