Trump will demand compensation from Iran for the Americans who were killed and wounded

U.S. President Donald Trump has instructed American negotiators to demand compensation from Iran for the dead and wounded—whom he attributes to Tehran’s actions—during any future negotiations between the two countries

According to the president, he has reviewed Tehran’s demands for compensation for months of U.S. strikes on Iranian territory and has decided to make counter-demands. Donald Trump stated that he would demand compensation for people who were killed or seriously injured as a result of roadside bombings and during numerous conflicts.

Separately, Trump announced his intention to seek compensation from Tehran for the 2000 terrorist attack on the U.S. destroyer USS Cole, which killed 17 U.S. service members and wounded dozens. The president also believes that compensation should be paid to the relatives of protesters killed in Iran.

The U.S. leader announced this on the social media platform Truth Social.

Trump stated his readiness to rely on economic pressure against Iran.

Trump acknowledged that the repairs to the reflecting pool near the Lincoln Memorial were rushed.

The first Trump-class nuclear-powered ballistic missile cruiser, named the USS Defiant, could become the most expensive warship in history. Its cost is estimated at $23.4 billion, exceeding the price of a Gerald R. Ford-class supercarrier.
