Trump said that strikes against Iran could resume if the deal is unsatisfactory
U.S. President Donald Trump stated on June 17 that he might resume airstrikes against Iran if he is not satisfied with a future agreement between the parties. According to him, Washington’s next steps will depend on the content and terms of the agreement.
He made these remarks during a press conference with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
The U.S. president emphasized that the memorandum of understanding agreed upon by Tehran and Washington is not a final agreement, and that he reserves the right to resume military action against Iran.
“This is a memorandum of understanding. And if I don’t like it, we’ll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their heads. If I don’t like it, if they don’t behave properly, we’ll immediately go back to dropping bombs right on their heads, okay?” Trump said on the sidelines of the G7 summit, according to “European Truth.”
