US President Donald Trump said he has entered the decisive phase of decision-making regarding the war with Iran. As Anadolu Agency reports, he warned Tehran that significant events could occur in the near future if the Iranian authorities do not change their behavior.
US options for action
In an interview with Fox News, Trump said he was considering whether and when to destroy the entire country, and stated that Iran had better behave properly. According to him, among the options under consideration are destroying the country, Iran’s economic decline, or reaching an agreement.
The US president also said that very significant events would take place in the near future.

Possible meeting at the UN
Answering a question about the high-level week of the UN General Assembly, which is due to begin on Monday, Trump noted that he would probably be open to meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Contacts with the Houthis
Separately, Trump said that Washington is in constant contact with Yemen’s Houthis following their recent ballistic missile attacks on Saudi Arabia. According to him, the group agreed not to fight US forces.
