IDF says child was used to transport weapons in Gaza — Jerusalem Post
The Israel Defense Forces said that in the central part of the Gaza Strip, a man whom the military calls a terrorist used a child to carry weapons to a civilian house. According to the IDF, this was intended to prevent Israeli forces from striking the location to which the weapons were being delivered.
Statement by the Israeli military
As the Jerusalem Post reports, on September 27, 2026, the IDF released a video which, according to the military, shows weapons being transported to a civilian house with the involvement of a child. The Israeli military said that the man used the child as a human shield to prevent a strike and obstruct efforts to stop the movement of the weapons.
The IDF also said that after identifying the child's presence, it did not strike the man. The military called the incident an example of the systematic use of children by terrorist organizations for terrorist purposes and said that such actions violate international law.
