Türkiye brings back 76 wanted individuals from eight countries — Anadolu Agency

Türkiye brought back 76 individuals wanted by law enforcement agencies from eight countries as part of operations conducted in cooperation with foreign law enforcement authorities. This was stated by Türkiye’s Interior Ministry, Anadolu Agency reports.

Wanted through Interpol

According to Türkiye’s Interior Ministry, 29 of the returned individuals were internationally wanted under Interpol red notices. Another 47 individuals were wanted at the national level.

They were brought back to Türkiye from Georgia, Greece, Germany, France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Serbia and Azerbaijan.

Law enforcement cooperation

The ministry stated that Turkish authorities tracked individuals who had left the country and were wanted. Their detention and return were ensured through cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the respective countries.

Türkiye’s Interior Ministry published information about the operations on the Turkish social platform NSosyal. The ministry also stated that fleeing abroad would not allow wanted individuals to avoid responsibility.
