A rainbow bench was unveiled in Berlin in memory of the victims of the Pride attack
In Berlin's Tiergarten Park, city officials and representatives of the LGBTQ community unveiled a rainbow-colored bench and planted a maple tree in memory of the victims of a car-ramming attack during the Christopher Street Day parade, Euronews reports.
A video published by Euronews shows the sequence of the ceremony: participants first unveiled the bench and then planted the tree together. The bench and the maple tree were placed side by side in Tiergarten as a permanent memorial.

The attack occurred during Berlin’s Christopher Street Day parade, which Euronews calls one of the largest Pride events in Europe. One woman was killed in the attack, and 29 others were injured.
The new memorial in the park is dedicated to those affected by the attack. It features a rainbow-colored bench and a maple tree.
