A sharp increase in migrant quotas has been recorded in the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation
Russia’s Belgorod Region, which is subjected to drone attacks almost daily, has become the region with the highest growth in demand for foreign workers in the Central Federal District. In the first four months of 2026, employers submitted applications to hire approximately 1,300 workers from countries with visa requirements.
According to local social welfare authorities, the main demand comes from nine agricultural enterprises. They are seeking workers from Kenya, India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and China.
A similar trend is observed in other regions of the Chernozem region, where quotas for foreign workers are increasing, particularly from Asian and African countries. At the same time, some regions are seeing mixed trends—ranging from a sharp increase in demand to a decline—the reasons for which have not been officially specified.
