The Belgorod Region has run out of funds to compensate for cars damaged by drones
In the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation, compensation payments for vehicles damaged in drone attacks have been suspended.
According to Russian media reports, the Social Welfare and Public Support Development Fund has halted these payments due to a lack of funds. Regional government officials clarified that the organization was funded exclusively through donations.
“Currently, the Fund has suspended compensation payments to citizens whose passenger cars were damaged as a result of actions by Ukrainian armed forces due to a lack of funds allocated for this purpose,” regional government officials told the publication.
At the same time, the authorities do not plan to introduce new support programs for affected residents. Currently, only one-time payments for the loss of essential property are available. According to local authorities, more than 15,000 vehicles have been damaged in the region since the start of the full-scale war.
Anti-drone corridors have begun to be established in the Belgorod region.
As a reminder, on the night of March 8, a powerful missile strike was launched against energy facilities in Belgorod and the Belgorod region.
Due to the shelling, Belgorod was left without electricity and heating.
Additionally, a gas pipeline was damaged in the Belgorod region, and schools are closed.
