In Belarus, analysts have accused Tikhanovskaya of working for the KGB under the guise of cooperating with the SBU

Belarus claims that Alina Kharisova, an analyst at Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s office, allegedly worked for the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus (KGB), believing she was collaborating with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

According to Roman Protasevich, a former editor of the opposition publication Nexta who began working for Belarusian state television after his arrest, Kharisova agreed to pass on information about her colleagues in exchange for money, but her activities were allegedly controlled by the Belarusian security services.

“She agreed to leak information about her colleagues to the SBU for money, but in reality, she was being handled by the Belarusian KGB,” Protasevich stated on state TV.

The report also showed Kharisova’s statement from October 9, 2025, regarding her alleged agreement to cooperate with the SBU under the pseudonym “Alexa,” as well as excerpts from correspondence requesting information about her associates.

After the program aired, Alina Kharisova herself confirmed that she had agreed to the contact, believing it to be cooperation with the SBU, and explained this as an intention to improve relations between Kyiv and the Belarusian opposition.

At the same time, she stated that she “did not reveal a single word or a single fact” and assured that she avoided passing on any information.

“Most of the time, I played dumb and ignored messages for several days because I realized the situation was very strange,” Kharisova said.

She also announced the suspension of her activities within the opposition and stated her readiness to undergo an investigation.

This is reported by Belarusian media.

Earlier, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis stated that his country would not consider the Belarusian Prosecutor General’s Office’s request to extradite opposition figure Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.

We also reported that the American magazine Time included the Belarusian opposition figure in its list of “young leaders shaping the future.”
